Stress

Recently I was stressed about what to write on my next blog.  Nothing came to my mind.  I kept trying to think by sitting in front of my laptop hoping that something would click and words would flow like always.  But alas! I sat there for hours and nothing happened.  Was I having the dreaded writer’s block?  The thought itself stressed me out. I was planning to give up.  With no ideas popping, what could I write?  Eventually, I calmed myself by saying “It’s ok the idea will appear, I need to give it time.”  The more I stressed the more I faced a blank page. So I gave myself a couple of days’ time.  I tried helping myself by reading, thinking and seeing things with an alert mind.  When I calmed, I realised I was stressing too much.  The cause of a blocked mind.

To help yourself from stress one needs to relax.  Take a deep breath and avoid imagining the consequences of your actions. The more you think, the more stressed you get.

When you keep reciting the mantra ‘I can’ things will work out automatically.  Believe in the mantra that you recite, just the way you’ve been believing that the worst will happen.  Now start thinking the reverse without wavering.

When you are stressed, the best way to relieve yourself is to go for a long walk.  For some, cooking a dish is a stress buster.  And for some, it is shopping! Music and meditation are the other sure-shot relievers of stress.

Not helping yourself when you are stressed can lead to innumerable physical problems. These are signals your body emits to say that all is not okay and you need to be wary.  Therefore do not press your mind, don’t stress or remind yourself of things that hurt.  Relax and give yourself time to get back on the road that was left halfway.  Be assured you will be able to end the journey to your satisfaction, just don’t stress.

  2. To combat writer’s block, I recommend keeping a list of things that you are curious about. Whenever you think of something that brings curiosity or you see something you are curious about, write it down on your curiosity list. When you are out of ideas, you can explore the list. You could get inspiration by learning more about the things that you are curious about.

For stress, I recommend a few things. First, start by putting God first, and begin your day with a prayer to God and a heart for God. God is able to orchestrate several things and he can use divine assistance to make our day easier. Second, we need to treat our body like a temple. Energy giving foods are a great resource. Thirdly, we need to take little breaks every now and then to refresh.

The most important of these is God. When things get tough, we can always reach out to him for help.

The Bible says in Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God”.

    God says in Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.

If anyone reading is interested in building a relationship with God, I have a post on that here: https://christcenteredruminations.wordpress.com/2018/08/29/how-to-build-a-relationship-with-god/

There is much more to know about God. I post frequently on my blog about topics related to God. You are welcome to follow my blog to keep up with my content.

-All the best. May God bless you.

Nice Article on street I do face same problem sometimes. Nothing comes to mind. But when I relax and then slowly I start getting points.
